Looking to replace a stolen King Super 20 Silversonic Tenor vintage date app. 1962 and in prestine condition with combo case in black and silver alligator. Production run is 384600-391899 series IV. Horn should have the gold over top octave key on silver neck with silver body, silver bell with brass inside ring and gold leaf inlay on the bell with King Super 20 Elkhart Indiana or Cleveland stamp and gold leaf, lower keys will have engraving also. I estimate purchase price to be in the neighborhood of $5500 US dollars. I am working on an insurance settlement for this value and also giving the authorities some time in trying to locate my horn. Any collectors or interested parties wishing to contact me on an available instrument to sell me please don't hesitate to email me at [email protected]. Also looking to replace a Selmer Signet Bb Clarinet Paris and Gemeinhardt 2sp s flute of the same year 1962
Sincerely, Gary Strickfaden

King made in Elkhart, IN?

Gary,

I am sorry to hear about your lost King!

But, to the best of my knowledge, King did not make the Super 20 in Elkhart, IN!

I sent you some pic of my 20, but I realize that you are looking for a silversonic one.

Good luck!

Found a Replacement for my King Super 20

Thanks to Morry Payne in locating a Super 20 for me with George Prewett at Alabama Music. George was taking good care of this horn and many forum readers responded in ernest in helping me find a replacement. This horn has been advertised before and moved around a bit but now I can say for a fact it was a good replacement for my dearly lost tenor. Anyone have a King Super 20 Combo case they want to sell? Let me know or if you have the hard wood case for the clarinet you would wish to sell. I prefer the King Combo case over the gig bags and such. Email me: [email protected]

If this is the Super 20 you've purchased, it looks absolutely stunning. The side pearls make it a very nice upgrade from the 385,xxx. Our of curiosity, what is the serial on the new one? Enjoy!
