Allo guys
Very simple question!
Does all STM lig have the V on top of the lig?
Mind has the copper look finish and has that V on top of the mpc ,which i ve not noticed before,or did nt pay attention.

I meant the V letter on top,,probably.

yes that V is a reference to its orientation

Mine had one...Guess they must have thought I couldn't figure out how to put the ligature on...

I thought that I had an old one,obviously it is much older then the NY Link I got with,but works great!
Just never paid much attention on markings on it before.

Some of the less vintage ones have the "V".
Some of the ones with the thinner "knob" and the 4 "nubs" on the reed plate.
I think they were from somewhere in the Babbitt era, perhaps the 80s.

Iv had a couple like that over the years. One played really well...IMHO everyone looks for the vintage "fat knob" ones, but some of the new ones can play just as good, it just depends on how they fit, if they're not stretched out, etc...its always a crap-shoot.
