Search on "Findings (Steve Lacy)". You may have to subscribe, but the first month is free and plenty of time to read it (if not necessarily to play through all the exercises, quirky duets, etc.) This book is out of print, with only a few copies available thru interlibrary loan.

Congrats on bagging an original copy. The cheapest in the used market is currently about $130, with a more typical price being $300 or more!

It is tragic that Findings is out of print. It should be a textbook at Berklee and NEC for all saxophonists and most musicians in general.. I own both editions of Findings and believe that it is more useful than most of the hundreds of other method, technique, and improvisation books that I own. I hope that someone will reprint the book.

If you can get a good copy for $130, then grab it. The book was about $80 new when it was in print.

Not that it makes a difference, but the 2006 re-issue was $50.
