What exactly is a stencil. I see the word alot within the forum but what is it?
A copy of a horn thats legal or?

A sax with a seller's name on rather than the manufacturer. E.g. Wurlitzer but made by Buescher (amongst others). Usually made to a different specification to the original.

Also a stencil is an excellent way to buy a top end horn for half the money!
