thanks for the reply. I already have a steelay No3 (just to say I've got one) but I was just curious. I find the No3 difficult to play because I am used to playing a wider tip opening. I take your point about the vintage mouthpieces having narrower tip openings. I don't think I will have the No3 refaced - I would prefer to keep it original.
