Is there a standard jazz-song all students should learn?

I am looking for a song and want to be shure that a jazz-sax player knows this one.

Autumn Leaves - about as overplayed a song as there can be. EVERYONE knows it.

Actually, it (Autum Leaves) been done by many, as late as Bob Berg (very modern interpretation, and also very good) on his album "Another Standard."
I might also suggest "Funny Valentine," "Green Dolphin Street," "I Could Write a Book", etc. etc. Invest in a copy of Herb Wong's "The Ultimate Jazz Fakebook" , Hal Leonard Publishing. These come up on Ebay in various keys often and are written so a student can learn tunes from them quite well.

I love Berg's version of Autumn Leaves but I think it is on the cd "In The Shadows".
