Guess what! If you are truly new to sax, squeaks come with the territory. Certainly, as Tony says, be sure that your instrument is in perfect playing condition. That being the case, getting rid of the squeaks is what happens as you get more and more proficient. Even so, now and again if you mis-set your reed, let your embouchure get sloppy (see Tony) , etc. etc. you will suffer the occasional squeak or squawk. Me? I'm more inclined to squeak on the high notes (D--F# above the staff), but to warble or honk on the lows. Have fun, practice, get a good instructor, and be patient with yourself.
Regards and Happy New Year! Ruth
