Hi ,

Can anyone please give me some advice .

I have been offered a Selmer Super Action 80 Alto Saxophone from a deceased estate . It is in really good condition
but is missing the neck (the family have searched the house and cannot find it) .

Is it possible to buy it as a spare part or can recommend an alternative.

thanks in advance

Is the horn a Series II, or the original Super Action 80, i.e., a "Series I"?

In general, Selmer necks for Series II and Series III saxes are easy to purchase new, and are not difficult to find used if you look around a bit. But finding an authentic Series I replacement neck could be a challenge.

However, a Series II neck probably would work well on a Series I horn. A tech could address any fitting issues. Also, other companies make replacement necks that can work with many Selmer altos.

Thanks to everyone for taking the time out to respond .

It is a a Series II instrument and looks to be complete apart from the neck .

So it is a SPN5201 I need ( thanks for the link ) , I am in the UK so maybe cheaper to try and source one from Europe so no custom charges .

thanks again
