Nice sound check! You were too low in the check throughout. Boy do they need you. Otherwise all background without a melodic instrument. Nice sound they produce. Had some doubts about the glockenspiel, but it's not cutting through too much.

Could you post more that's performance?

I like this a great deal -- I knew we were going somewhere when the very first groove was a fairly energetic 7/8 (reminds me of "The Dreaming Tree" by The Dave Matthews Band, which happens to be one of my all-time favorite songs). If you feel compelled to put a genre tag on it for promo purposes, "post-rock" might be more specific than "world fusion". It has electric guitar, drums, and something similar enough to electric bass, so nobody could really argue with this classification.

You also might consider posting videos, since there are many people who will watch a video but can't sit still through an audio-only song.

(tl;dr: The music is great, don't change a thing. Just promote it harder.)

Hey I just listened to this and I must give congratulations! That sounded awesome and the music took me on a little adventure, and yes its great to hear a C-Melody and a C Soprano in the same recording!

Anyone got a C-Bass?

Let us reunite the concert pitched trio!

Thanks. I will post another audio file later, but I posted this part because it´s mainly C soprano, which is not easy to find a live recording of it.

Wade: yes, the horns are a little low but only on the mix, there was a lot of "air" sound missed on the recording, the place was a museum with high ceiling and marble walls, which produced a lot of natural "echo chamber". I easily could be played the soprano without mic, but the flute (a Yamaha 211) in spite of having a good volume it could be impossible to play it without mic, that´s why it has a good volume on the mix.
That´s why the glockenspiel was low on the mix also, it has a good "air" sound without mic.

Mal 2: the tag "world fussion" was a requirement for soundclick only, I agree with you, some of these musicians have a "rock" background more than any other genre.

Danny: a C bass could be very interesting, but I don´t think it have been produced yet.

Mike: thanks, (have you tried the tenor piece with the Unit?)

Legend has it that the C-Bass was the very first saxophone ever made by Adolph Sax, and there was a limited number of C-Bass saxophones made by his company after that. There may not be any of them left at all, but the important part is that there must be designs for them that exist still. Perhaps after my C-Soprano that will be my next project :)

Aaahhh, legend.... And, of course, now that you've stated it on the internet Danny, it becomes instantly fact.

I'll have to dust off the old Ouija board and have a chat with Monsieur Sax, maybe he can also tell me what happened to them ? Probably melted down for artillery shells in WW1, used at Verdun.... Oops, that's added to the myth !

(I'm allowed to be flippant, as I lost more than a few ancestors in that senseless shindig )

Thanks artmgs.

Wade: here it is another file, with a different line up: the tabla player switched to acoustic guitar and the woodwind here it´s only flute (the tenor appear only a few seconds at the beginning)
To be fair, the acoustic guitar was not 100 % in tune, a typical live situation after a guitar fell out.

Great textures and feeling. Yes there are some tuning issues, but I can listen through those as there is such a good feeling and blend between the players. If making any critical analysis it would be that this track could use a little more space, but it works pretty well as is.

Any more to be posted?
