I would like some suggestions for soprano sax mouthpieces. I play a Conn International 94m Soprano sax, and I am looking for a mpc that will project over the band. Has anybody played on a Selmer Paris Super Session, how does it sound?, is it good for jazz? Besides the price of the super session, i am looking for a mpc under $110.

Thanks.

I've played soprano for 35 years and the Super Sessions are the best I've ever played, and I've owned them all. Wonderful rich full sound, a nice balance of smoothness & resonance, power & projection if needed, not too bright, not too dark, nicely centered. They wonderful pieces. I'm using a Super Session "I" and my back-up is a Yani Metal 7 which is also a very nice piece and great for power and projection since that's what you're looking for. Each however will cost you more than the $110 but they're worth it.

I play the exact same Conn model and have used both a Runyon Custom 6 and Jody Jazz Classic 7. Both work well.

A few of my friends like the Morgan Vintage as well.
