I'm considering getting a combo case for my soprano and alto. Right now, the Protec is at the top of my list due to its price and I like the design. I've also looked into the Marcus Bonna, Tortajada, and Wiseman cases. Are there any others out there that? I love the idea of the Wiseman, especially the trio case, but it's definitely out of my price range. (Are there any other S/A/T trio cases?)

Gard or any other gig bags are out of the question.

I can only tell you that Protec has never disappointed me. True I’ve never had a combi case ( and personally think that unless you have very specific reasons to use one , two cases are better than one)

My main reason for considering a combination case save on storage space in a very small house, and to cut down on number of cases I'll be carrying since I'm in grad school studying music performance.

I have the MB double case. It only fits detachable neck sopranos. Great quality, and it fits very nicely in the overhead bins in planes.

My biggest issue with Bam is the price, I could get the MB or Tortajada combo for the same price or less than just the alto Bam case. I'm also considering just getting the Protec ProPak individual alto and soprano cases. My horns are both Cannonball Stone Series.

The Protec alto/soprano case can get very heavy once you are loaded up with saxes and accessories. It has wheels
but they are too small and the bottom of these cases get ruined quickly if you are using it
a lot which I did a few years ago.

I can strongly suggest Mike Manning custom, Wisemann and BAM.

I have used less expensive case like SKB and they are better then nothing but not the same level of protection these others can provide.

Thanks! That's what the thoughts I'm looking for on the Protec combo case. Thanks to everyone's thoughts, I think I've decided that I'm just going to get traditional pro-pak cases, since I'm not ready to pull the trigger on the Wiseman.
