Good morning, all! I received my straight nino the other day and realized that there is no dedicated stand that I'm aware of on the market. The stand's bell flare fitting/component should be somewhere in between a trumpet and a soprano clarinet stand but with the gradual taper to the top but the tiny bell diameter may be difficult to match unless it was made specifically for a nino. What do you use? Thanks!

actually the sopranos stands should worn but even better one of the many K&M clarinet stand should work too (try before you buy, there are quite a few) I have one (different) and the sopranino stood perfectly.

Hercules DS531BB Soprano Sax Stand
My sopranino can't fit over the little knob at the top of the soprano stand. The Hercules trumpet stand (DS510BB) is perfect for 'nino.

I have one of these Milandro and it's basically a very nice portable stand that conveniently fits in the bell as the legs retract into the stand on a radial housing. It's not enough to hold the nino firmly, but K&M makes a standard stand that works on the same principle and the same material and design which is considerably longer and more tapered. This standard one isn't portable in a clarinet bell but may work on the nino so I ordered one. It has the same flat ledge/flange on the bottom as their soprano stand which I have as well. The sop stand will work but it essentially wedges the sopranino in place; not a good thing.

I got very fancy for my C soprano - I expect it would work the same for a nino.

I took a flute peg, cut some foam rubber, wrapped the foam rubber around the peg to build it up, then wrapped the whole thing with several turns of masking tape.

Classy! but you know me, I'm all class!

No one will care what your stand peg looks like.

Thanks for this suggestion! If the K&M stand doesn't work, I'll look at this Hercules stand and possibly the K&M trumpet stand that has the similar gradual flare. Can you post a picture of your nino on the stand?

Sorry for the poor lighting. My new house isn't well lit, and is very orange/tan.

Proud new nino owner since yesterday! Tried some hercules stands:
The soprano stand works for me, if I set the adjustable cone very high. Not ideal, because nino sits a bit tight on the upper knob then.
Alto Flute stand works well, Soft pad disk could be a big larger for the nino - but no risk of contacting the metal base. But the alto flute peg uses a different screw and does not fit in the sax stand

Get the trumpet peg. Works perfectly. You can probably find the peg without the base if you want to use what you already have, but here it is with the base: Amazon.com: HERCULES DS510BB Trumpet Stand with Bag: Musical Instruments

Thank you, Eulipion!
Does the screw of this trumpet peg fit in a hercules sax stand? Or is it the smaller alto flute type?
