It is a lot of money I agree. If you look at it from the point of view of going to be entertained and to see how "on" the performer is you run the risk of some dissapointment. The same if you want to judge Sonny by how he played 40 years ago.
But if you've never seen him and want to catch his vibe and his approach and his lifetime of music I don't see how you can be dissapointed. Some performers are more interesting on an offnight anyway. Hopefully there will be many more chances to see him but you never know.

I had second row center seats to see him in Boston at Symphony Hall and they were $45 USD. Of course thats a lot closer to home for him but still that is quite a jump in prices.
