Does anyone have any info, advice or opinion of the Sonare SF77 Flute. It is supposed to be new, never used German made flute. It is supposed to have a lip- rose plated. My concerns are the pads and I am worried the rose plated on lip wears off. I'm also wondering if the rose plating really makes any difference in tone. We had tried a PS 601 and 705 and there was no difference in sound.
THANK YOU for any info

Pictures would help.

Sonare flutes play well for the price. You should play test it, but good pictures should be able to show you what condition the pads are in. If they don't seat right (like damage in shipping), a good repair person should be able to fix it.

Plated stuff really depends. Some people's skin doesn't do anything to it, and some people's skin will tear it apart. I happen to be in the former category, but I have seen people who have acidic skin (is that the term?) and it will tear the plating off over time. We are talking like years/decades.

I dunno, if the price is right, I'd look into the Sonare flute.
