Hey that was nice Mr. Lecleir. Any reason why a Classic over a Vintage? I'm now beginning to understand and hear that the Classic is able to do 'rougher' better than the Vintage. Then again,... I'm not even sure that's correct. Just wondering. Sure would be great if we could get you to post some pics over in the Picture Thread. Any tips on graceful aging would be nice too!

Thanks for the nice comment. As far as the classic/vintage, when I first started talking with Mr Barone about what is was I was doing and the direction I was going, he suggested the classic. After more research on SOW and getting opinons from the likes of the various people, I decided that the classic was for me. I needed the roar as that is what I am about when I play in our band. To me, the upper register on the horn I have has that "put my fist in your ear tone" that I like. The classic fits the bill quite nicely. I dont have any aging suggestions as the tenor I got was already aged. I decided to get the aged look rather than the bare brass as I wanted to have an all around look. I played a gig a couple of weeks ago and when we finished, a lady came up to me and remarked at how well my "antique"" sax looked and sounded. It sounded just like her son's Mark VI from the 60's. Score one for Mr Barone.......To keep the overall look and keep the green spots from forming, I religiously wipe down the sax inside and out after each gig. (Who wants to wrap cords....sheesh! Thats the guitar players job! ;-)

I cant wait until I get enough cash together so I can get a Hollywood Mouthpiece from Mr Barone.
