Hi all,
I am new here on the forums and I wanted to know if there is a way to "soften" the side alternate f key on alto by myself . The reason I would like to do this is because it feels way too stiff, as I have to push down on it excessively for it to open. It feels like a spring problem. I also have an audition coming up in a month and many of the passages require the alternate f#. Any help appreciated thanks!

Don't lighten the spring tension too much otherwise the key will open when playing low notes loud.
