Can someone describe to me what you feel in your throat, face, tongue, or body to play these in the section where they need to be piano? Thanks!

I open throat, remember to keep my embouchure relaxed and make sure I maintain firm air support. When soloing for me it sounds best, especially for the bell tones, to partially subtone those notes. I'm just able to maintain a softer volume than with full tone. However, when in section I want to match what everyone else is doing tone and pitch-wise.

The low end of the alto should be right in the comfortable singing range for most men…might be a touch low for some women. Anyway, how all of those things react when you’re playing those notes is exactly how they should react when you’re singing those notes.
