Derek Lin was the maker of these. He worked with Stephanhouser for a while and they developed together their horns.
I’ve written few years ago about these saxophones.

The Stephanhouser brand was created and developed for Mr. Dane Scott Stephens of Castroville, Texas in 2001
by a Taiwanese technician whom I’ve met many years ago, Derek Lin, who then started another brand with a very brief history, called Soar HiQ. Mr. Dane Scott Stephen was marketing director of Antigua at some point in his career.
Stephanhouser’s top models featured some innovative (at the time) features such as the screw-less pin design ,the bow made out of a single piece of brass and a patented octave key design. They were endorsed by Shawn "Thunder” Wallace.
The brand appeared to be owned, at some point, from the Gemeinhardt Company, LLC.
A Gemstone Musical Instruments Company.

There are still traces of Stephanhouser on line clearly showing the relationship with Taiwan and the Soar Hiq company.
A Revolutionary New Saxophone
After 5 years of extensive research and development, we have crafted a unique and revolutionary new saxophone. The instrument boast 3 US patents. Instead of "modifying and copying" existing designs, we started with a clean slate. Once we had our prototypes in hand, we then took the instruments to professional players, students, repair technicians, and band directors for evaluation. We analyzed each and every comment and suggestion concerning likes and dislikes of the instruments and made the appropriate modifications. The end result of this exhaustive research is an extremely versatile and durable saxophone that has incredible tone and quality. We at Stephanhöuser believe that all musicians deserve a high quality instrument.
