Hi guys! I created a profile here because I can't seem to find any backing tracks for Jim Snidero's book, "Jazz Conception," and I was hoping someone here might be able to help me out. I bought it with the CD and there is a few sentences that explain how "remove" soloist and leave the rhythm section, but I don't understand it... I think because my device that I use to play it does not have a balance button. Is there any other way I can obtain the backing tracks (rhythm section only) if I am unable to do as the book suggests due to the limitations of my music device? Does anybody know if people have made the rhythm backing tracks, and if so, where could I obtain them? I haven't been able to find anything on Youtube or the internet..
i just picked this up today. I'll rip it and see what I can do. The instructions are vague but i should able to mirror the channel with just the rhythm section
That's very strange. I have Snidero's Intermediate Jazz Conception book/CD set, and the CD contains 2 recordings for each song: one with the solo/etude being played (on alto, with rhythm section accompaniment), one with just the accompaniment (no soloist).
Jazz Conception has only one track the horn+Rhythm section in the Right Channel and Rhythm section only in the Left. I've got it so only Rhythm in both if anyone wants it.
