David Sanborn's CD Pearls, has a great song on it called Smoke Gets In Your Eyes. Does anyone have the midi for it that can be transposed or the sheet music. The ideal combo would be the back ground track and the sheet music. I need the back ground track the most. I could figure the song out by ear but that is no fun for a lazy guy like me. Please e-mail anything you have for this song to [email protected]

Mr. Stevens,

Your a hard man to track down. I sent this to your regular e-mail and your website e-mail but it got returned to sender. Thank you very much Sir for the sheet music.

You have several jazz tunes that I like:

Ain't Misbehavin', All of Me, Autumn Leaves, Blue Moon, Body and Soul,
Cherokee, The Girl from Ipanema, Isn't It Romantic, On Green Dolphin Street,
Over the Rainbow, Take The A Train.
I actually like every song on your page but I would really like any of the sheet music of the above songs.

I am in the Navy and going underway for some time coming up in a week and
really would like these songs to learn for when I get back to my wife. She
loves to hear me play.

If you have a zip file for all of your songs that would make my year. It does
not matter the key of Bb Tenor/ Soprano or Eb Alto since I have all three(yes I am broke now/ LOL). I know I am asking alot but man I have to take advantage of your music and talent. You are an outstanding piano player.

Thank you Mr. Stevens for the the Smoke gets in your eyes.

Your new fan,

Rob

I have the sheet music .
Your transcription of The Smoke Gets in Your Eyes is great. It is in Bb, so it works great on my soprano and tenor. Thank you ArthasLee.

The staff has corrected this and sent a ping to Pure Magic. Al, this is a wonderful resource. Do you mind if I blog about it?

Thank you for deleting his e-mails off of the site before I could. I will never post other people's e-mails on the forum again:( One good thing came out of this though Gandalfe, you got to see Mr. Steven's outstanding website:)

Actually at least two good things could come from this experience. Others will learn from our mistakes and I forwarded Al's website to the musician's alias at work and got an overwhelmingly positive response.

Speaking of Dave Sanborn's "Pearl" album. I love the way he plays "Try a Little Tenderness". I have searched for a transcription of it to no avail. Does anyone have it or know where to get it? Best to post here, because I can't get into my PM's. Also, having a lot of problems logging in. The site doesn't recognize me anymore. I have to try all kinds of things just to be able to find the daily posts. Harri doesn't see a problem. I probably didn't explain the problems accurately in the several messages I sent for help.
