Hi all,
I had the recent good fortune to acquire an SML tenor sax. It came in a black "alligator print" hard case. Did SML ever use such a case or was this a substitute from a prior owner along the way?

Thanks! Trying to figure out if it is worth keeping as a "original set" if you will. It's a bit musty and nicked up here and there.

I am also trying to wrap my head around the concept that the case may be something a prior owner had laying around. Why? The sax looks nearly pristine. The case is serviceable, but clearly far more used than the sax appears to be.

I think that might have been the King version ( I believe they were the importers in the USA) .
