Anyone ever get just...wlel, burnt out of playing their bari? Not playing in general, I could never get tired of playing; but as it is, I'm spending roughly three hours per day practicing bari, and about an hour and a half is on legit and about an hour and a half is on jazz. I love my horn, and I adore the aspect of performing, and playing, and fills in jazz, and god I love to solo...but I'm just tired of the literal timbre of the baritone saxophone right now. This isn't the first time it's happened, but even on top of playing bari for 3 hours a day, I'm now heading home to play alto for an hour or two just to get the sound.

Eh, maybe I'm losing my mind, and definitely it will pass, but it just feels stagnant at the moment. Anyone ever feel that way?

Listening to Herwig rekindles my flame though :D

Bari is still the sound that i love - even after getting an alto for a little variety, but it's the bari sound that touches me a certain way.

Here is some more Herwig (he is quite the bari dude - great artist):

You may find more inspiration on my bari playlist:

Oh, I know what you're going for man, but I could NEVER do that! Every time I wake up, it's just "give me my damn horn!", or when I get bored doing anything I finger solos in mid air. I couldn't go two days without my horn or without music, that's a killer ^_^.

Not to mention that I play everyday for ensembles, so I couldn't do that anyways. But thanks guys, that bari music is great as well, I'm just diggin' my alto right now. But it's funny, now that I've been playing my alto a lot lately, I want to play my bari, lol. Eh, I guess I need to find that subtle balance, eh?

Best wishes, all
