No because the mini pin plug for Shure is exclusive to Shure mics unless you have the plug converted on the AKG mic to a Shure plug. I have this on my SDSystems LD94 mic, bought it wired to plug into my Shure PGX .

That is not true, I have a Professional JK® MIC-J 026 Cello Microphone Cardioid Condenser Instrument Microphone - For Shure Wireless System / Soundboard that I fit into my classical guitar and it has the mini-XLR plug that fits the BX1 transmitter. BTW, that's an excellent microphone, Likewise the Pyle-Pro PLMS30 Wired Lavalier Mini XLR Uni-Directional Microphone ( For Shure System) is a great choice, it's probably the best bang for the buck ($14.- and very good quality)
