I really like all the good reviews I've seen for the Beta98. I'm thinking of getting a wired one. I do a lot of switching between tenor and alto though. I see that unlike the AKG c519, Shure doesn't have a disconnect between the wire and mic. This concerns me as some snagging is bound to occur. I contacted Shure and they confirmed that the cable is NOT REPLACEABLE. Has this been an issue for any Beta98 users out there? How does the AKG C519 compare? Anyone owned both?

I've used the 98 HC for several years and have never had a problem with snagging. There is a clip at the end of the cable that you can attach to a music stand or whatever that keeps you from stepping on the cable. I don't use it, but it's a nice feature. Sounds great too!
