A couple of years ago I wrote a short (5-minute) piece for soprano sax and string orchestra (or string ensemble). It's quite melodic, very listenable, and not technically difficult. It would make a good encore piece. The title is "Song for a Rainy Day." Although I did copyright it, I'm not interested in making money from it; I'd just like people to play and enjoy my music. I'll be glad to send a pdf file of the score and an mp3 file of a synthesized recording (unless I get more requests than I have time to respond to). If you decide you want to play it and have a string group to play it with, I can send pdf files of the parts.
