So my super 20 alto is 21 numbers different from the Charlie Parker horn.
My question is what were the Instruments manufactured between my horn and Charlie’s?
Where they all full pearl Silverbell and neck? All altos ? ..or were tenors mixed ...in or even trumpets and trombones ?
Does anybody know how King and other instrument companies of that era designated the serial numbers?

I don't think that all the instruments were Siversonic or Silver neck even if they are sequential.

Read here about H.N. White S>N.

Different brands had different approaches, for example Dolnet mixed all their wood and brasswinds in the same serial (nobody understands the function of the letters) while other brands did this separately.

Usually the part that has the serial number (body for saxes) gets the numbers when being developed. Later on, the bodies are just picked up and assembled. I doubt the horns are finished in numerical order. I have a gold plated Conn C melody with a 1923 serial number but with a series two (1925 or later) keywork. They probably did a run of satin gold bodies for future use.
