I would like to know if there are sure-fired ways of detecting which period of Selmer horns necks can be associated with. I saw this auction in Germany and the guy who offers the neck states it was sold to him as a Mark 6 neck. How can you be sure it really is a Mark 6 neck or a later model? Thanks for sharing your experience and expertise:

Yes, it's a mk6 neck for sure, but the globe logo can be found on some late sba necks also. But of course, the old stlye neck octave key is the give away for the sba.

Can be a SBA or an early VI but will fit (more or less) on later types 'till SII (won't fit on SIII or ref54)
We can see a little ding (pic#6) but doesn't look to have been bent down
