your pictures are out of focus so it is impossible to see what you mean.......I might vaguely read made in Germany, but I am not even sure it says that! Kindly provide some better and bigger (and more detailed pictures including the serial number and other details ) . Selmer France, to my knowledge, has never sold an instrument that wasn't made by them directly. There are several non- Selmer made denominations bearing the name Selmer (which is confusing)
Selmer stencil by Keilwerth?
Yesterday i found a strange sax that has the selmer stamp, and says "Made in Germany", as you can see at the pictures. So I want to know, how do you think? Its a selmer?, or it is a stencil? Because I had read that "Selmer Bundy" or "Selmer Bundy Special" has the stamp "Made in Germany" and Selmer logo, and were manufactured by Keilwerth...

Wow! I think this may be a rare beast, that is the full Selmer logo.

) only if that is a Bundy and that logo (although blurred) doesn't look a Selmer Bundy. Henri Selmer France has never had any horn made elsewhere, even the American Selmers were only assembled in America and purely to bypass custom problems. They never had a " cheap line" made anywhere to save costs, and the surely wouldn't have had any made in Germany by a competitor.Anyway more, better and detailed pictures are needed for the identification.
Keilworth, Keilwerth, it's a weird sax and we don't know what it is! Could be a Salmor or even Yamagoosima

Odd that Beaugnier wasn't mentioned since they also made some of the "Selmer" stencils

I wouldn't know if Beaugnier ever made a stencil branded Selmer London. I too thought those were Bueschers ............the plot thickens!
Well, i´ve red the article that says of "Made In Germany" are Selmer Bundy/Special, actually i wrote it when i make the question =). Sorry for the pictures, it is not my sax (remember), but i will contact with the owner, and ask him for some serial numers, or any number or any logo or any word... :S, the fact is that the sax needs a repair (as it says in Mercado Libre), but look the price: U$1052, it is really cheap, so i think the owner doesn´t know about his instrument, or he knows that is a stencil. I will call him tomorrow, and then i tell you.
The fact is that the information you answer is useful, but non of them shows a SELMER MADE IN GERMANY stamp :S it´s very very rare...Bundys have Bundy stamp, not Selmer Made in Germany
Well here in University some years ago a girl that was just starting her career bought a selmer mark VI for 200 dollars in his little town (think that 300 people live there)...believe me or not...the owner had died (do not know if i wrote it well), and the family were very sad, and doesn´t know about the sax (and his real price) so they sold it...Now that girl is the luckiest person in the world :S

AFAIK no Selmer-sold stencils had the standard Henri Selmer Paris logo, as this one seems to have; they were totally separate models and couldn't possibly be confused with the 'real' thing.

I have been watching the photos, and as far i can see i cannot read on any place made in germany know, i think that says New York Elkhart, is that possible????
