i am looking for an upgrade alto and have narrowed my choices down to these three, i can afford them all, i was just wondering about different views in comparison, currently i think the SBA is on top, fairly sure actually, but i just wanna know what you all think.

the SBA is great, the lacquer is more intact than on my 275!!! and its only 1800!!

bargain.

the 6m is great, it is as good as a 26m i recently played, is a good relacquer,

the model 26 i havent played recently, original lacquer, fair quality, quite early

its an obvious choice, if you can get a $1,800 sba take it ,and anyway it is a better horn than the other 2 and will have more value and if you don't like it you can sell or trade it for pretty much anything

just make sure its a super balanced action and not a regular balanced action -- in that case I would say something totally different

If you really like how the SBA plays and it's already your top choice, go for it. Even if you had an inclination to prefer a Conn saxophone the SBA is worth a lot more than that and will only increase in value over time, if that sort of thing matters to you. Sometimes BA and SBA altos are absurdly stuffy. I played a few examples of these and there's really nothing to be done about it. However some of them are also screaming good horns.

i got her here on my lap!
the serial is M54964, making it, i believe, the 38th last SBA ever to have been made! it has the original case in amazing condition, even the original neck strap!
i got it valued for insurance purposes, it was valued at £3,895, about $7,000 i think by current exchange rates.
wow!
photos on their way soon,

help me think of a name for her!!

You can't go by serial number in that range. You have to look at the horn's particulars (pinkie keys, etc.) to see if it's not actually an early VI. Some horns between serial number ranges have traits from both the previous and subsequent models.
