This is my first post here at SOTW, So if I am in the wrong place I apologize.
I have gotten a Selmer Paris from my uncle who was a long time player of the sax, he has since been diagnosed with Alzheimers. He new it was coming and while he was still of sound mind he gave me this saxaphone. I know absolutely noting about it and have taken some pictures hoping someone could help me out! Alto, tenor? Possibly a ball park figure of the value of it as I will probably be putting it up for sale to help with some of his expenses. Serial or I am guessing it is the serial .
N.6220XX, I have did a bit of research and it looks like it could possibly be a 1992 model. I would try and get information from the source, but its just not an option.
Thank you in advance for any help!! below is a link with pictures of the saxaphone, sorry about the quality, I am a terrible photographer. http://s921.photobucket.com/albums/ad55/slick6732/

1. It's after 1993 as that is when Selmer hit 500k with the series ii run
2. It's a tenor
3. Value on Ebay is $2-3k somewhere in the higher end I would think
4. Condition looks nice hard to tell how it plays

Well you have a Selmer Series III Tenor Saxophone. This is one of the professional models and it is a very popular saxophone. You have received a very nice saxophone and it is worth a few thousand dollars. I know someone else will be able to tell you a more accurate price.

With such a nice horn, maybe it's time to honor your uncle and do something about your "sax ignorance?" Congratulations.
