I think the new EX modells are unfortunately no longer being built in Germany but by AMATI in Czech Rep. and in my opinion not from the same quality.
the German made EX III Tenor I tried sounded wonderful warm with nice ergos.

Ex have 3 series one made in Germany, one assembled by Amati in the czech republic with German made parts and one made and assembled bi Amati in the czech republic.

I would buy a German made Keilwerth over a Selmer America (made in Taiwan) any time

Yeah, better to look at the Selmer Paris Models and/or the Keilwerth SX90 and SX90r models. If those others are all you have to choose from then you're better off with a Barone, CE, Bauhaus, or similar.

If you wait around for the next WWBW sale you can get a SX90 for about $2100 or so...
