I’ve been watching a Selmer New York horn coming up for sale in a couple of weeks at an estate auction. Auctioneer thinks it’s a Radio Improved model, based on serial number (19686), but I think the Mercedes keyguard says otherwise. Split bell suggests late twenties or perhaps early thirties vintage, from what I know (YMMV). Looks like it was a closet queen, certainly does not seem to have lived a hard life. Wondering if it’s worth taking a run at it. Thoughts?
