Anyone have any advice on how to sell my Evette Buffet Crampon Soprano on eBay?

I listed it once for only $500.00 starting bid and it failed to sell. I went to have it appraised this time and it is worth $999.99. I am starting it at $499.99 this time and including the appraisal information (as well as sending the appraisal sheet with the saxophone).

Any advice would be most appreciated!

I'm not sure that an appraisal is of any value when selling a saxophone. The market will be the market regardless of what some appraiser writes. Oh, something like that may be valuable in making a police report and filing an insurance claim, but that is the last thing I'd consider in buying your saxophone.

It may not have sold last time for many reasons . . . maybe the right buyer didn't see the auction. I'd keep trying - eventually someone will come along who wants it. DAVE

Sometimes using a "reserve" works better for me to get bids going than having a "starting price".
