Friends, a year or two ago, there was a gorgeous, 10M tenor, customized, perhaps, by Curt Altarac's Music Medic. It was a silver model that had been blasted to a matte finish, with the decal and other engraving still glossy, and the inside of the bell, gold plated. Does anyone know where pictures of this dream machine might still be found? Thank you!

Warren, I couldn't find the one that you mention, but it looks like there may be another in the works: https://musicmedic.com/products/saxophones/conn-10m-naked-lady-tenor-78-44840.html

I was looking for a gallery, such as Matt Stohrer used to maintain, but this is as close as I could find: http://saxproshop.com/sax-proshop/glamour-shots/conn-2/

When I'm laid up in bed, and my wife sees my phone screen glowing in the dark, she might peak over my shoulder to see some beautiful brass staring back at her. She also calls it saxporn... 😁 It's cute cause she thinks she's so clever!

Thanks for sharing your centerfolds.

I’ll tell you what a numbnut I am, it occurred to me that I’d posted images of that Conn to my Facebook page a couple years ago- see the attached! So it does look a bit different than the one Canadian posted. I’ve never played a 10M, but physically this customization has got to be one of the most beautiful saxophones that I’ve ever seen. Thanks all!

Canadian, That is identical customization to the one I was seeking! This picture series isn’t as nice as what I’d saved, so I’d guess it’s a different horn. Thank you, however!
Glad to help, the saxpics page I linked to has two or three like that with different serial numbers. I wonder if it was a factory option at one time? Its a spectacular look for sure.

I should take some pics of my pre war Conn 10m. Stripped of lacquer, it has a nice honey gold color. Unfortunately the engravings are almost gone. Makes wonder about getting it re-engraved. At least get the full naked lady back. Hey, im Canadian too!
