Hey guys,

So I've been playing alto and soprano for a while. On alto, I play a 6M Phil Barone piece.

What would be a good starting piece on tenor for a seasoned sax player? Hard rubber or metal?

I am slightly aligned with the dark side (tone).

Thanks!

I like the Meyer 6M, Morgan 7EL and for the money you can't beat a Rico Graftonite or Metalite under $30. I am an alto player first. Have you checked with Phil since you use his alto piece?

Link HR. Stock ones are pretty variable. But with a decent facing, they are wonderful.

I was in the same boat and put a metal berg on the tenor I bought. It was great and easy to blow for learning to play tenor.
