I understand his logic. I personally would have chosen the first one. I hate faux pretty much anything and would prefer a bit more projection and cut. Gotta fight off that bassoon next to me!!!

I think I would have picked the last one myself but I would have tried them all with a few different pieces before I made a choice. His sound on these clips has too much buzz for me on all three and I think it's mostly that mouthpiece. Odd that he says he's most likely to play background parts on bari but he has a mouthpiece with a lot of edge and cut.

I have always said the same, about the Kazoo sound. I thought i was alone on this. I prefer the UL as well, the last one.
