I just scored a MINT YAS62 in silver plate. Came with two cases and two mouthpieces! It was a nice get! Played great straight away! It really looks like a new horn! The cases both look new too! And found out my tech was the service tech with the previous owner! Nice!

I am pretty sure it's a regular 62 also. Not a 62II on the stamp even though the owners said they bought it new two years ago. It has a G1 neck.

From what I know about Yamaha altos, these are the most desirable of all (excluding current run models) due to Dave Koz's affinity for them.

I will post some pictures later tonight. I am pretty stoked! It matches my silver Z tenor!!!

The Land Cruiser is a sore subject! I bought that old truck to do 'guy stuff' with, but I can't keep the wife and kids out of it long enough to do my mods to it!

This is the "Nissan" in my name. Started this project before I married :) Still isn't done though.

Here it is when it was still working:

Haven't had the time or money to finish it.

(continueing down the "rabbit trail" a bit :) )

Yeah, it's fun, and expensive! Havn't touched the project since 2008! Been building a life with my wife, and house over our heads. In that time life has happened. My one constant (music) is what keeps me going, even when everything else falls apart or gets delayed!

The "working rig" pic is mostly stock on 33x10.5/15 BFG M/T. The work in progress is 39.5x13.5/16 and home built suspension (which still needs tweaking and final welds). The truck taunts me every time I go in the garage!

Sweet horn you got! I think this has already been established, but just to confirm - that's definitely a 62II. The original has a one-piece key guard for all the bell keys (low Bb,B,C#,C). Your horn also has the beefier neck receiver screw assembly - the old 62's is much less substantial.
