Who knows about it?
I was just looking through this website and It looks like they have a lot of solos but I wasn’t able to figure out how to get them or if they cost anything or not? Maybe it was down?

I looked around this form and didn’t find anything on it so that’s why am posting.

Pretty good transcriptions with chord annotations. $1-$3 per transcription. The website's pretty clunky. I just use the search function to look for specific pieces. They usually have each piece in the original key, and then in the alternative keys (keyed for E flat, B flat or concert).

I don't like that you can't preview the transcriptions beforehand, but they are pretty good/accurate.

I've bought about twenty or more of his transcriptions, they're pretty good. Once or twice I've found an error, when I sent him an email he was very gracious in thanking me for letting him know.

The web site was a bit clunky; after making the payment I had to navigate to my account page to find the download link.

To me the easiest way to use the site is to use the search field toward the bottom of the page, just enter a tune or artist name.

I've been going to sax solos for years. I believe the owner used to post here occasionally? Can't remember for sure, but its great work! Always helpful.

Charles McNeil who is in Las Vegas has a transcription website that he gives the solos away. He has complained in the past that people have stolen his solos and tried to sell them. I asked him about this guy and he told me Sax solos.com does all his own solos and that he’s a real straightforward guy. So that’s a real glowing recommendation

I thought everyone knew about saxsolos.com

I second Charles McNeil. I have many of his transcriptions and they are very good.

I've commissioned solos from Curtis at saxsolos.com. Very affordable and excellent. Never turns his nose up at any particular player though I'm sure he has his own tastes. It eventually dawned on me that playing a solo by ear, they just wouldn't sink in or let the musician's way of thinking get drummed into my head the way it could if I had the notes written out in front of me.
