I really enjoy playing with Saxscape mpcs (XtraDark 102 and SL Slant 102, both protos). I am using a Rovner lig and Plasticover 3 reeds, LaVoz med soft also does the trick for me. I am curious as to what other saxscape fans use...

Besides, probably because of lack of practice, with the saxscapes I am having problems with altissimo notes (I however have better results with my Sparkle Aire mpc for instance). Anyone has any recommandation besides practice?:bluewink:

I use Hahn reeds #2.5 or #3.0 with my SL, XTRA DARK and DOWNTOWN. My preferred ligature on these is a Vandoren Optimun.

I use RJS 2H filed or V16 2.5 reeds and a Rovner versa on my Saxscape Ex. Dark (prototype) with very good results.

On my .110 Extra dark saxscape I always used La Voz medium or Rigotti 2 1/2 strong with good results. Bonade silver 2 screw lig.

Legere Signature 2.25 on the slant. When ocaisonally going wood, a RJS 2H or ZZ 2.5

I use Vandoren ZZ 2 1/2 on my SL .102

I treat my reeds differently and keep it in a jar with a hair of water 24/7. This way, my reeds are always soaked and ready to play anytime. This gives the reed a much more warmer sound and its more freeblowing and lasts longer.
