Hi all, I'm looking for good books to improve my saxophone technique (faster fingering, emouchure, altissimo, overtones, etc.) Any books/suggestions of things to read and try appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I am looking at a book that starts just below medium and goes right the way through to advanced. Not a method book, as such, more a development book.

You might want to look at:

Melodious and Progressive Studies, Book 2, edited by David Hite. 64 pages of studies, exercises, etc.
Foundation Studies, also edited by Hite. 64 pages of scales, chords and intervals.

The Universal Method by Paul Deville contains lots of study material ranging from basic to quite advanced. Although it is called a method, I think it is more a collection of material the compiler thought would be useful.

I think you are already aware of the Klose Daily Studies.

All of this material is quite conventional.

For altissimo, etc., people usually have a look at Rascher's Top Tones.

Check out the Joe Viola "Technique of the Saxophone" books I (scale studies) II (chord studies) III (rhythm studies)-inexpensive and standard texts since about 1960. Published by Berklee Press. For altissimo development, refer to Eugene Rousseau's book or Don Sinta's or Robert Luckey's.
