Saxologic's video description
The purpose of this video (featuring Jesse Shelton) is to have you cringe at least a few times from sayings that may be too... familiar.
I hope it worked! But don't worry: Jazz snobs can be just as bad! It's coming.
Thank you for 55.3K subs!

funny thing is, i think both of these guys sound good...but i'll bet they'd both sound better with Bueschers!

You see....funny thing here....this doesn't come off to me as "a classical snob getting put in his place"....

which I THINK...is what the attempted narrative of this vid was. I know the 'script' was an attempt (a bit of a clumsy one, really, not particularly cleverly-written) to head it that way.....

But, if you just listen to the playing....I agree with Paul...both players sounded good.

And you could have had the jazz guy playing Bach, Tchaikovsky or Ravel

I think the best thing about this video is the bloopers that show both sides can be friends.

The guy on the left... the classical player... he cracked me up. Not with what he said, but by his movements and style playing those jazz licks. I suppose you'd have to have been at a Sax Symposium (like me) or had seen this sort of thing at university (not me) to truly appreciate its comic nature.
