I recently picked up a Conn 10m and I’m looking in to having it gone over to make sure it’s set up right, but seeing as I’ve never had any of my saxes gone over, I don’t have my own tech. Do you guys know of anyone in central Florida who would be best to look at it? I’m not looking to drive too far, maybe at most Tampa or Orlando (I live around Ocala or Bellview)

They have a place called Hoggtowne Music with repair service. I never been to the shop but the shop foreman, Dave Hutchings use to own or run Band Central Station. I got my 10M from Band Central Station with a complete overhaul by him (new pads and everything) in 1994. It's always played great since I got it! Just recently (this year) had to get some repairs done to it. Only had to replace a few pads and corks. 🙂

You can call them for a rough estimate.

About all of the techs where I live are school band, playing condition type techs. The just enough repair work to be able to make a sound techs.

Underwood Music in Orlando or my tech who works out of his home in St. Pete
I had good luck with "Brass and Reed Music Center" near Canaveral/Cocoa Beach. He did some good, quick, work for me when my ship was based there.
