What are your favorite poses? I personally like the one where your back is against the wall with one foot pressed up on the wall as you're blowing on your sax. It makes the sax player look like he knows the meaning of life.

By the way, has any of you ever played on the edge of a cliff overlooking an entire cityscape at night, or maybe an ocean, all alone by yourself being one with your horn? And were you playing "smooth" or "real" jazz?. Thanks!

Also, have you ever leaned your back against a wall with your sax in one hand, and just pondered life? Did people say anything to you as they passed by?

Well....yeah!!! Isn't that what we all have saxophones for? People know we're too :cool:cool:cool: to bother us with talk. They just keep on walking and wish they were us.

I've yet to do that wall thing, it's something I've always dreamed of doing someday. But I'm still perfecting my James Dean expression to go with the pose.

Then you can call yourself "FighterForJD", eh? ;)

What's up with wanting to be a poser? Is that a "wannabewannabe"?

Do you already have a CD in the can awaiting cover art?

LOL. I'm actually in the very early stages of making my first CD (how early? I finished writing my FIRST song for the CD over the weekend). I think I'm gonna call it "Saxophobic."

Well if we are talking about poser i.e. "air sax" stereotypical poses, my personal favorite is the sax held horizontally in the air, and a suitably dramatic, bent knee posture to accompany it.

The old R&R knee slide with the sax pose is a crowd pleaser too. ;)

Hmm, now you've got me thinking that my favorite "pose" is one of offering the sax - horn horizontal in open hands, head held humble.

After I started reading that thread again, it reminded me of an infectious disease in a commune.
