Hi, I'm working on a music-oriented presentation. Do you mind a cultural question? Could you translate "Man, that cat is hip to the groove" into contemporary slang (after rolling your eyes, and muttering, "Okay boomer")?

For added flavor, feel free to jump in with the same for any decade before or after the fifties. Thanks for hittin' me with your wisdom.

I mainly hang with "retired rockers" and older jazz folk, so I'm doing outreach. My son is so busy with school and work, he isn't even up on the latest.

I got this so far from my Facebook friends:

80's: Man, that dude can bring it!
2020: This dude's on fleek. Sh*t's lit, bro.
