:D Mathew Aaron is a genuinely honest and caring person. He actually knows what customer service is. He is not pushy. He sells you the sax you want. He discusses the merits of the sax and let's you make up your mind. He is like a enclyclopedia of sax knowledge. He geniunely loves the sax and enjoys discussing sax topics w/ you!!!!He is probably one of the few sax dealers that give a hoot about the customer(Mark Radika/USA horn and Dave Kessler are 2 others that come to mind). He even changed the credit card we used so my wife would get her Barnes and Noble credit for books.Sax was in overkill packing and keys were corked shut(no one has ever done that to a sax shipped to me before). My R1`nino came exactly how he described as per fit and finish and tone/intonation/reponse.:D

Ditto. I've purchased both a Ref. 54 tenor and a Yani 992 alto from Mathew and found him to be more than professional, fair and helpful.

I'm really impressed with saxforte's web-site and in my few experiences buying from them. Even in little things like their page on polishing clothes and cremes, they take the time to explain what works with and what can damage various types of horns. Their detailed pages about the Ref 36, Ref 54, Mark VI, and a comparison are all above and beyond what you usually find. I'm sure some will point out that the last two of these pages might be self-serving, but they seem reasonable to me, and there are too many other thoughtful touches on saxforte.com.

BTW, I have no connection with saxforte other than as a satisfied, occasional customer, and I am not saying they are better than other vendors in every respect. For example, they don't have the widest selection of products. But they do spend time to make their site player-friendly for the things that they do sell.

I bought my JK nickel silver tenor from Mathew, he's a great guy to work with. My horn came to me set up and ready to go out of the box. I can't say that with horns that I have bought at WWBW. He's a good businessman.

Just wanted to give some more props to Mathew- I bought a Reference alto from him and it arrived perfectly packaged and set up ready to play right out of the box. For a long while before my purchase he also gave some great advice and answered all of my questions without hesitation. And the price was RIDICULOUSLY cheaper than buying it at the local sax shop.

Another happy customer. Although I just bought some accessories, everything was well packed and arrived very fast in the mail. He used the premium govt. mail service. Also the site gives you tips on their favorite reeds, etc. I will probably buy my next sax from them when the time comes.

I've made both large (reference 54 tenor) and small (Brancher neck strap and mouthpiece) purchases from Matthew and he has always been top notch. When I bought the tenor from him we spoke on the phone several times. It was my first online horn purchase and I was more than a little nervous to drop that much cash sight unseen. When it was all said and done I got exactly what I wanted and Matthew got a devoted customer. Buy from him with no fear.

For Christmas, I bought my son a Selmer 64M Tenor. I was hesitant in using an out of state dealer as I had a particularly bad experience buying his Soprano sax that way and actually drove over 600 miles so we could buy his professional alto in person because of the experience. I really didn't feel like making the long trip to Indiana again, so based upon the recommendations of people on this board and after talking to Matt, I decided to go ahead with the purchase. It turned out to be a great move. Not only is Matt very thorough in his discussions before I purchased the sax, but took great care in packing the sax for shipment from SC to MO. It took my son a good half hour to find and remove all the protectors for the keys. Anyway, my son is a sax performance major in college and really loves his new tenor sax and is a great asset to him as he uses it for his saxophone quartet. Lastly, after getting Matt's price, I searched the internet for a good 2 hours and never did find the same model tenor with the same finish for less than the price I paid to Saxforte. Thanks Matt and sorry it took 3 months to get my comments out to this forum. If anyone has any additional questions, feel free to drop me an email.

My daughters and I visited Saxforte yesterday(by appointment{you must make a appointment}) on the way home from Charleston SC(we were on vacation). We auditioned a Rampone baritone sax,a Keilwerth SX-90R alto,a Keilwerth Nickel Silver alto,a Yanagisawa T-901 and T-901S, a Rampone curved soprano and a Yanagisawa SC-991(to compare to the Rampone{we own one}). Mathew Aaron was great!!!!! We played all the above mentioned saxes and had a blast!!!!!All saxes were set up perfectly. Mathew is very low key. We could relax and enjoy playing the saxes in front of him!!!My favorite was the NS Keilwerth Alto. Very tempting!!!! Mathew really knows his stuff. He even worked w/ my daughters sizing brancher straps for them!!!!

Very happy w/ SaxForte. Mathew was very patient and dicussed ordering the baritone at great length w/ me.

Very cool. What's your delivery ETA on the ordered bari?
August 2008 but it may take until Sepember or October or longer if there are unforseen problems. They had 2 low Bb w/o High F# keys and a LowBb w/ a high F# that was reserved in Italy. If I ordered by June 16th I could pick my finish. The saxes were not finished yet.

Enjoy it, there aren't many of those around! You'll be the envy of anyone that you will meet while playing :)

I just received my first accessory order from Saxforte and agree with the praises above. I had called Matthew to ask a few questions - he's very knowledgable, and takes the time needed to discuss anything.

I almost bought my reference 54 there years ago. I ended up finding kessler at the time. It turned out good as Ive never played a better horn then the one I got, but I would consider them someday. I think they should carry beechler mouthpieces though:)

Ordered a fortissimo sax stand for my daughter so she can carry a stand in her outside compartment of her kessler tenor sax she's getting. Quality product. So happy SaxForte carrys them. It is exactly what we needed. Mathew even checked out the kessler deluxe tenor on the kessler website to make sure it would fit. I ordered some mouthpiece patches and 3m silver strips as well. Ordered on monday and everything was in my hands wednesday. All was packed extremely well!!!

Add me to the "Sax Forte" satisfied buyer list! my Yani Bari B-991S was in playing readiness right out of the box! First new sax I have ever seen that was actually ready to play! (My WW&BW Selmer Serie III alto needed a lot of Tweaking" to correct assembly defects and poor adjustment before it was a truly good player. Mathew knows how to setup and pack saxes! When I am ready for another sax-I will call Mathew.
