Saw Jeff Kashiwa with several area guys sitting in last night. Eric Darius and Mike MacArthur, along with a guy from Orlando I hadn't seen before. Several times they were all on stage playing together at the same time and it was a great show! It was a CD release party for Jeff. I found out from Mike that he's now an endorser for Paul Mauriat. He mentioned to me they gave him his new tenor and he will be doing several clinics in the future. Great player!

I saw Jeff with the Rippingtons last summer. In my opinion, he stole the show. The gave him the spotlight to play one of his tunes off his CD and he blew the roof off the place. He's an awesome player. He also had the EWI4000 and played that great too. I'm pretty sure at the time he was playing a JodyJazz DV alto piece.

Does Jeff play tenor? Either that or he's using a large size reed on his alto. His latest album is ok.
