So a friend of mine has a satin silver Guardala NY tenor with the skyline engraved on the keys that he wants to sell. I think he's interested in getting $2200 for it. I have no knowledge of these horns though.

I'm not interested in buying it, but I'd like to help him out. Is this a fair price?

Yes, a fair price.

However, there were no GERMAN B&S-made satin silver Guardalas of this model made in the factory. It is possible that it is one of the later Amati made ones, but I have never seen a satin silver version of this "Guardala" horn either.

If it is an Amati-made one, then it is WAY overpriced at $2200.00

Do you think you friend is mistaken in his description of the finish?

Could you have your friend email me some pix?
I am also interested in it, if it is a real Guardala made by B&S.
