Hey Everybody,
I'm currently working on the Sammie Nestico arrangement of Samantha on the alto sax. After listening to it about 1001 times, I can play the freely written portion pretty well. When I hit the improve section, that is where my trouble starts. I can identify with all cord names/changes, but the natural flow and results that I strive for aren't there yet. I want to have the improv down just as freely and effortlessly as I can play the written section, and I know it will take a while to really get it flowing. Does anybody who has played the chart before, or is familiar with it, have any suggestions about improving the quality of the tune? I am open to any and all help that can be shared!
