Hello friends,
I'm pleased to anounce my new ligature after a loong preparations.
It is based on vintage Otto Link STM ligature while I tried to improve on the design.
Supreme ligature has 3 adjustable points touching the mouthpiece beside the reed plate. Can work on any metal alto and metal tenor. Can work on the metal soprano with a smaller plate that I'm in a process of making. I experimented with a few sizes and materials on adjustable points and settled on 6mm plastic ones. First 15 ordering the ligature will get the smaller 4mm and metal 10mm points also. I like the sound I'm getting with them and I look forward for your comments. Introduction offer is $80 shipped within US with 3 sets of points for the first 15 orders.

Like droping it on hardwood floor vs concrete?

Congrats, nice looking design, although if the user isn't careful with adjusting the side screws equally, won't it end up skewed to the side?
Basically you have to adjust it only once for each mouthpiece you are using it on. After that, the adjustment stays and fits in and out like a glove. If you want to switch to another one you have to go through adjustment which is a one, two-minute turning couple of screws to make them touch the mouthpiece.

Are there recordings available so we can hear what it sounds like?
Sorry, I don't have a recording but even in the best circumstances, it will be very hard to perceive any difference. Listening life, in a room you can. Even you can discern metal points compared to plastic.
Now theorizing, if I had the best sound equipment who knows.

Great design, you are an innovator Sakshama! You are so right about trying to perceive the difference in the sound with recording.

Given the penchant for many users to crank down on the reed plate screw, I suggest you substitute a metal screw with a polymer tip for the adjuster opposite the plate. Given time and stress, a plastic screw will tend to experience creep in its threads and fail. Or supply an extra screw or two with the package.

Since the adjuster screws on the side serve to provide location only, and are not opposing the stress on the reed plate, they should be longer-lived.

Very cool Sakshama! Link ligatures are great and love this design with only one screw to tighten at bottom. Do the screws at the top have to be tightened every time? Hope you are well my friend!
No, the top screw doesn't need to be tightened every time. Just the first time as you set it up for a certain mouthpiece. With it, you can adjust the height where you like the main screw with the reed plate to catch the reed. I'm well, thank you, happy to be back in New York.

Good point. I will supply the extra screw, the first 15 anyway will have the metal ones.
I had the prototype for about 6 months with the plastic screws and I see no difference since the beginning but it is always good to have a few extra ones.

Very cool concept, being able to adjust the lig for a perfect fit to a variety of mpcs. And even if you only use one mpc, it's great to be able to get that perfect fit with the adjustment screws. I've always felt that what makes any lig better than any other is down to how well it fits.

Rather brilliant Sakshama of you to figure this out. And like all truly great ideas, it seems so obvious once somewhat comes up with it.

Any chance of making one for HR mpcs?

Thank you for your kind words. Yes, I do plan to make one for alto hard rubber.

I got mine in the mail this week and spent some time with it. I think Sakshama hit a home run with this lig, it’s easy to use and feels really free blowing. Seems like it allows the reed to vibrate all it wants to. Highly recommended! (and no I’m not a personal friend or endorser, I’m just a dude that saw this thread and ordered one).

How well will it work on a smaller diameter HR soprano mouthpiece? Like a Ted Klum?
Sizewise it will work well but you will need a smaller reed plate. I'm working on it so in couple of months will have it.
