Has anyone done this? How has it worked out? I have read that you need a thinner pad for the Super 20. With that in mind is this pad too thick? I am considering roos with domed plastic resonators.

I had my Super 20 SS tenor just repadded with Roo pads and flat metal reso.

I read in one of the thread posted here about thin pads and I looked up MusicMed's spec of Roo pads and it matched. So I went ahead with white Roo pads. I was told black Roo pads are not as soft and maybe little thicker.

My SS tenor do not have intonation problem, and it is very free blowing with Jody DV 7*.

Cheers;)

I have black roos and seamless domes on my Eastlake tenor for some time now. Enabled me to lighten the springing on that horn (did all new springs a the same time) as previously pad sticking has always been a problem (I assume due to thicker tonehole walls / larger contact area like RTHs).

I like them very much...the only two negative things that I can say about them is 1) they are very fussy to set up perfectly as they are quite hard and flat (a good thing) so the toneholes must be very flat and the cup must be well-aligned and 2) they are reasonably noisy to play as they make an audible 'slap' that is sharper than the typical 'thud' of a pad...the audience doesn't seem to be able to hear it, though, even in a small club (even my wife in the front).
